ರಾಜಗೀರ್‌ನ ವಿಪುಲಾಚಲ ಬೆಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಾವೀರರ ಮೊದಲ ಪ್ರವಚನದ (ದಿವ್ಯ ಧ್ವನಿ) ದಿನ — ಅವರ ಬೋಧನೆಯ ಜನನ.

Digambar Jains celebrate Veer Shasan Jayanti on Shravan Krishna Pratipada, when Mahavir’s divine sound was first heard, 66 days after his omniscience.
ಇದರ ಹಿಂದಿನ ಕಥೆ
After attaining keval gyan, Mahavir’s divine voice did not flow for 66 days, because no disciple able to receive it was present. When the great scholar Indrabhuti Gautam arrived at the samavasaran on Vipulachal hill near Rajgir, proud of his learning, his pride melted at the sight of Mahavir and he became the first Ganadhara. Then the teaching began — the start of “Veer Shasan”, the rule of Mahavir’s dharma.
