KP Prashna — Ask with a Number

Krishnamurti Paddhati horary: hold one clear question in your mind, then choose a number from 1 to 249 without thinking about it. The number fixes the Ascendant; the planets are taken at this moment, for your city.

How KP Prashna works

The zodiac is divided into 27 nakshatras, and each into 9 unequal subs in the Vimshottari proportion — 243 subs; six of them cross a sign boundary and are counted twice, which gives the 249 numbers. Your number sets the Ascendant at the start of that part; the other cusps are Placidus for the sidereal time at which that degree rises in your city now.

The sub-lord of the cusp that rules the matter decides: it promises the matter when it signifies the houses that favour it, and denies it when it signifies only the opposing ones. A planet gives the results of the houses its star lord occupies and owns, and of its own. Ask each question once; KP advises against repeating the same question with a new number on the same day.

A Prashna chart is guidance from one tradition, not a certainty. For health, legal or money decisions, please consult a qualified professional.
