Near the village of Jrimbhikagram, sitting in the godohika posture under a sal tree after a two-day fast, Mahavir saw the whole truth of the universe। The gods built the samavasaran, a divine assembly hall, where humans, animals and gods sat together to hear him। His first sermon, the scriptures say, was heard but no one took vows — so he walked to Pavapuri, where the learned Brahmin Indrabhuti Gautam and his brothers became his first disciples।
