Ashwin Shukla Dashami marks the triumph of good over evil. It is one of the most auspicious days to begin learning or a new venture.
దీని వెనుక కథ
Ravana, the ten-headed king of Lanka, carried away Sita. రాముడు, with Lakshmana, Hanuman and the vanara army, built a bridge to Lanka and, after a long war, killed Ravana on this day. In the East the day ends the Durga Puja, as the Goddess returns to Kailash after slaying Mahishasura. In Maharashtra people exchange apta leaves as “gold”, remembering how Kubera rained gold for the student Kautsa.

- Do Shami puja and exchange apta or shami leaves
