🙏 ఎందుకు జరుపుకుంటారు

Eid-ul-Adha falls on 10 Dhul Hijjah, the day after pilgrims stand at Arafat during the Hajj. Families who can afford it offer an animal in qurbani and share the meat.

📖 దీని వెనుక కథ

Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) saw in a dream that he was to sacrifice his beloved son Ismail for Allah. Both father and son submitted to the command; as Ibrahim was about to act, Allah stopped him and sent a ram in Ismail’s place. The Quran says it is not the meat or blood that reaches Allah, but the devotion of the heart. The meat of the qurbani is divided in three — for the family, for relatives and friends, and for the poor.

🪔 ఎలా జరుపుకోవాలి

• Offer the Eid namaz in the morning
• Offer qurbani if you are able, following the rules of care for the animal
• Share a third of the meat with the poor
• Visit family and greet “Eid Mubarak”
