આની પાછળની કથા
Over centuries the teachings of Mahavir were passed on by memory, and much was being lost. Acharya Dharasena, fearing the knowledge would vanish, taught what he knew to two monks, Pushpadanta and Bhutabali, at the Chandra Gufa of Girnar. They wrote it down as the Shatkhandagam, completing it on this day — and the whole community celebrated the written word.
