A traditional story. Krishna is one of the most beloved figures in Hindu tradition. This is a TotsName retelling in simple words.

The story

One afternoon, the cowherd boys and their cows wandered deep into the forest. Suddenly a fire broke out and spread all around them.

The frightened boys called to Krishna. “Don’t be afraid,” he said. “Just close your eyes.”

They closed their eyes, and in the story Krishna swallowed the whole fire. When they opened their eyes, they were safe, back among their cows in the green meadow.
